Kaoru Mori continues the story, following two lines: in one, Karluk works hard to grow up, while in another Smith arrives in Ankara and finds a surprise in its streets... The story continues on its path, and I keep loving it. I always wait for the English translation version (the Fi...

This is still one of my all-time favorite series and I honestly think Kauru Mori is one of the best manga artists out there currently. ...

Not the best volume in the series, but any visit with these characters is a delight. The first half of the book returns to the main couple of Amir and her child husband, Karluk. They are spending some time apart as Karluk goes to live with his nomadic in-laws in order to practice hunti...

This continues to be one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. Stunning. And the plot and characters are so endearing and engrossing! A good volume. ...

The first half has some great hunting scenes, including eagle hunting. The second half has Smith again for the first time in a while, along with a surprise appearance! ...

Mori is a bona fide artistic genius. Read this volume for the ending alone. Seriously. She's on the level of Allison Bechtel, but a better artist. ...

I'm only following this for the drawings now. The whole child marriage thing is getting really, really icky. Kaoru Mori should really get on with it and age up Karluk. Amir acts like a mother around him. She even holds him like a child. Mori has to convince even herself as this volume,...

It's here! It's finally here! I know I'm a little late in getting my hands on it, but they never had it at the shop because apparently it got picked up the day they put it on the shelf. Finally, I pre-ordered, but then I never got a message saying it arrived, so I finally just showed...

Went to the comic book shop to pick up the new Wotakoi, could not resist the siren call of A Bride's Story once I was there... The art is as always breathtakingly gorgeous, and while I frankly have no idea how accurate the historical details are, they certainly feel vivid and realistic...

The story itself wasn't that interesting, Kaoru Mori should do something for that in the next volume. Karluk and Amir just... were there, nothing to do really. That British explorer side story was way more interesting. But I still love this series, how its drawn and how detailed it is....

I enjoyed this volume of A Bride's Story. The beginning was a little slow, mostly explaining historical facts about how the nomadic tribes of Amir's family hunt during the winter with bow and falconry. This was definitely interesting, though I prefer more interaction between characters...

Hmm. I'm giving this four stars although this was probably one of my least favourite volumes because although Karluk is important when it comes to Amira's story (duh!), I don't care about him alone that much. Smith's parts were fine. And all the information about living on the plains a...

Karluk is growing up quickly! Amir?s brothers teach Karluk falconry while residing in the winter camp. Amir visits give him strength to continue growing into the man she knows he can be. Book 10 of the series is as delightful as the rest of the series? Another wonderfully illustr...

I will never not be in awe over the amount of detail Kaoru Mori is able to fit in one panel. She is by far the best manga artist in the business, totally worth a year long wait between volumes. This volume begins with Karluk learning necessary skills to live out on the plains and ends ...

Historiallinen kuvaus paimentolaiselmst Keski-Aasian karuilla arolla, vaativissa olosuhteissa. Nuori Karluk opiskelee jousiammuntaa ja haukkametsstyst. Tutkimusmatkailija Smith etenee karavaanin mukana kohti Ankaraa. Tmn mangan kerronta on verkkaista, jopa eleetnt...

Really liked this volume although it didn't focus much on any of the brides, but instead on Karluk & his trying to grow up quickly after feeling so much a little boy during the attack on the village. Wonderful artwork & an interesting direction in the story as he is spending ti...

The story in this 10th book is switch back to Karluk & Amira, Karluk's struggle in proving his strength in front ot his bride, and also Smith's adventure with Ali before they reach Ankara. Unexpected surprise in the end of this book, someone from the past appears and make me wonder...

Another beautiful volume, I can never get enough of Mori's artwork and gentle storytelling. The hints at a larger world issue and how it's slowly but steadily encroaching on the characters is well handled. ...

The hints at a larger world issue and how it's slowly but steadily encroaching on the characters is well handled. ...

I?m SO happy, we got to see all the BOYS! Karluk, Azel, Joruk, and Baimat out on their bro-ventures. Those guys are so pretty, the art just blows my mind every time. Made me so happy to see Karluk and Amir again. ...

Once again Kaoru Mori delivers on a quality edition to this series. I only wish the books in this series could be produced faster so I would not have to wait so long to read the next book! ...

A Bride's Story, volume 10, continues the beautifully drawn and research-enriched tale of the nineteenth century Silk Road. Period architecture and clothing, plains landscape, and closely-observed cultural practices are mangka Kyoko Mori?s historical fiction jam here. The heart of th...

Seriously. She's on the level of Allison Bechtel, but a better artist. ...

So good! I love everything about this author and her series. Keep on being amazing! ...

Va be?, che ve lo dico a fare Kaoru Mori. Posso solo ammirare. ...

In a perfect world, this series would never stop! ...

"The one I love is Karluk. It is not 'Strong Karluk' or 'Manly Karluk.' Will you please trust me on that?" From the beginning of this series it was pretty obvious that there would be some point when Karluk would go out and "become a man" though whether that was through some sort of ri...
