Mace Windu (Star Wars: Limited Series) Reviews

This is one of the worser Star Wars minis that Marvel have put out. It feels like an arc of the Clone Wars that I wouldn't be as invested in and would want to be over so the next arc could start. And the art is so bad. Come on, Marvel. Do something about the art in your Star Wars books...

It's not often that the new Marvel canon novels or comics have completely swung and missed. This book is unfortunately one of those cases. Frankly, the epilogue and a short flashback to Windu's apprenticeship are far more interesting than 90% of the comic. It just leads to a story t...

Ouch, this one was really bad, which is a shame because these characters were some of my favorites in the Clone Wars saga. The story was bland and uninspired, with a jedi conflict that made absolutely no sense, I didn't like the dialogue as well, but the real bad section was the art wh...

This is a collection that takes place during The Clone Wars. In this one, Mace Windu and several Jedi travel to an Outer Rim planet to investigate why the Separatists are on this particular planet. I didn't care for this collection but I cannot say I am surprised. I really am not a ...

I like Mace Windu, but this I did not like. The dialogue was terrible, needless even. And worst of all, full of exposition which I didn't really care for. And the art, the art was terrible. Why did Yoda look like some greasy, fat dude who might try to sell you fake stuff? It was actu...

I go into Star Wars graphic novels with the lowest of expectations, and this one was not so bad. The story itself is bland and uninteresting, but within the story there is a more intriguing debate about whether the Jedi are doing the right thing in becoming generals and leading clone a...

This might be slightly unfair, I would probably give it closer to 2 1/2 stars, but we don?t have that luxury with Goodreads. Boring. Knock off Ultron villain character. Per this book, Windu should be a Sith since he states he believes in absolutes. Unless, this is because in...

The least of the Star Wars comics. The story is meh and does nothing to develop Mace's character in the slightest. The one thing I did take out of it is that a Kit Fisto miniseries would have been way more interesting. ...

I wasn't expecting much out of this and my expectations were met. ...

The most boring thing I've read all year. ...

When I first saw that Marvel was making a limited series focusing on mace Windu I was super excited. I really got into Star Wars comics during the prequel and Clone Wars era. So many great stories and characters were introduced in those books, which are now non-canon. I was hoping this...

Ok, I like a Star Wars comic. But this one might overtake Poe Dameron as my favorite if the droid banter and self-referential humor keeps up. The art is on-par, with the exception of one panel where Yoda looks like an age makeup that went horribly wrong. The writing is good, the ch...

Reads like a disjointed episode of The Clone Wars, good but not great! ...

Complete garbage. Worst star wars comic I've ever read ...

An interesting and promising start to this series, unfortunately illustrated with some subpar art. ...

Overall, Mace Windu did not work for me. I found small bits interesting but the main plot is mostly the standard Clone Wars Jedi vs. Droid stuff and much of the story revolves around Mace's conflict with being a Jedi who must fight when Jedi are supposed to be peace keepers. I get t...

I was so excited for this miniseries when it was announced since we have rarely gotten new material from the prequel era. Unfortunately this one fell pretty flat for me. The concept of the story was fantastic but the execution was way off. The writing was okay but there was some strang...

I really did not like this. Boring, muddled art and a story that went nowhere. ...

3 1/2 Stars. Mace Windu is the latest release for the Star Wars graphic novel series. Unlike a lot of the other series coming out lately, this one is set at the early part of the Clone Wars. Obviously from the title you can tell that the focus is on Mace Windu and the adventures (o...

3.5 Stars. This title was really straight forward, and thus for me, lost some of its possible originality. Taking place right after the battle of Geonosis, Mace Windu, Jedi Master and now Republic General, is sent on a mission to Hissrich, a planet in the Outer Rim. Going with him ar...

I was surprised at how much time this volume spends exploring the morals and ethics of the Jedi, even as it tells a decent action-filled story about Windu and a few cohorts taking on a secret Trade Federation base. The conflict between Jedi being peacekeepers while also being generals ...

Mace Windu and a handful of Jedi travel to an Outer Rim planet to find out why the Separatists are there. It's moderately interesting! The other Jedi are fun, particularly Kit Fisto, but they're clearly designed to fill very specific plot needs. Mace is unremarkable, which is unfortuna...

There was potential for this to be an interesting story, and the premise of the plot has all of the pieces needed to lead to a compelling exploration of the Jedi and their role in the Clone Wars. Unfortunately, none of this potential goes anywhere, as the story just runs in place and n...

Wasn't too impressed by this entry into post-Disney Star Wars cannon. A: Just couldn't wrap Samuel Jackson's voice around most of Mace Windu's dialog. B: Denys Cowen's art (One of my favorites since his Question days) seemed rushed or phoned in, but that might have been the inker. ...

Okay, I will say one negative thing about Disney era Star Wars... When they do come back to the prequel well, they just seem to miss the mark. Was this book awful? No. But it felt like a rehash of a similar graphic novel from the Dark Horse days, everyone seemed a little out of c...

This might be slightly unfair, I would probably give it closer to 2 1/2 stars, but we don?t have that luxury with Goodreads. Boring. Knock off Ultron villain character. Per this book, Windu should be a Sith since he states he believes in absolutes. Unless, this is because in...

22 BBY Taking place shortly after Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, during the Clone Wars era, Mace Windu, among other Jedi, take up a new role beside that of Knight or Master: Commander (or General). Hissrich is a planet infested with enemy droids, being led by a droid co...
