The Queen of Cursed Things

She's the last member of a cursed and deadly clan. He's the crown prince with a dangerous secret. Together, they'll save the empire--or destroy it. Decades ago, the High King of Sundolia waged a war that vanquished the serpent clan and drove them out of the empire, reducing them to nothing more than legends spoken of in occasional frightened whispers. Unfortunately, The Queen of Cursed Things isn't available at the moment. I took it down a few months ago so that I could re-edit, re-brand, and re-launch it when its sequels were closer to ready-to-go (it's the first of a planned trilogy) and when I could focus more fully on it all. Kind of a long story, but basically just doing what's best for the book and readers in the long run! Sorry for any disappointment this might cause. I'm planning to launch this 'author's preferred edition' in early 2019! You can keep up-to-date with it and my other books at www.smgaitherbooks.com. :)(less)

Really thought this would be about something else because of the title, but it still sounds intriguing! ...

Thank you Kindle Unlimited for bringing this book to my attention!! So lately I've been on this huge Fantasy binge, which I am not complaining about, just wanted to state the fact. The Queen of Cursed Things was so interesting and way different than what I thought it wa...

To see more reviews, considering taking a peek at my first in series YA book blog here Realistically 3.5 stars for some of world/character building points, but I so immensly enjoyed the read that I'm giving it a strong 3.8. Which is essentially 4, so 4 stars!! Thanks to the ...

I wasn?t sure about this book in the beginning as sounded like a lot of different clans or people at first and thought it might be hard to follow. I actually started it and set it aside as had problems concentrating as was getting a migraine. Well when I came back a couple days later...

There's lots to enjoy about this book. First, the works building is excellent with its intricate society structure and hierarchy denoted by markings. Next of course are the characters. Alaya is herself nicely layered and fascinating. It's a pleasure watching her develop as she deals wi...

This was my first read from this author and it was a very interesting read. I really did enjoy it and would definitely read more from her. ...

I'm a fan of fantasy and magic and this book delivered. I liked that this book has a different concept and the author created a wonderful world. There are clans based on the mark you're born with linking them to their associated God which determines their magic and hierarchy. There are...

Loved everything about this story from the action at the beginning to the forgiveness and soul searching at the end. Can't wait to see what happens next for the Rook and the Dragon! ...

I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review. First of all, S.M. Gaither most certainly has a way with words. The use of prose in this book is absolutely lovely. The descriptions are enthralling, the world building is intense. That being said.....

I'm a fan of fantasy and magic and this book delivered. I liked that this book has a different concept and the author created a wonderful world. There are clans based on the mark you're born with linking them to their associated God which determines their magic and hierarchy. There are...

I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review. First of all, S.M. Gaither most certainly has a way with words. The use of prose in this book is absolutely lovely. The descriptions are enthralling, the world building is intense. That being said.....

I recently had the opportunity to read Skykeeper by S. M. Gaither and thoroughly enjoyed it. Therefore, when I was notified by Hidden Gems that she had another book available through them, I immediately requested it and was super excited when my request was accepted. The story immedia...

This is probably close to a 2.5 because I really enjoyed the world building and an actual female friendship I loved and rooted for even though I'd have appreciated more depth to that than the potential love interests. I needed to know Sade and Alaya more as a unit. I will probably r...

Wanted to like.. I would have loved to give this 4 or 5 stars but as much as the ending did make since, it didn't quite fit. Part 1-3 were really good, but part 4 felt rushed and the left something to be desired. But none the less it was a good read up until that point, some may eve...

This was really hard to review. The first third was a solid 4-star read, then it became a 3-star and by the ending I was totally uninvested. I loved the beginning, and was intrigued by the female friendship, the snug prince and so on. Then things got confusing. And overly complicated. ...

Not my favorite. The concept was really cool but I didn?t think the world or characters were fully realized. And it just seemed like it moved to quick without enough explanation to make it justifiable. 2.5 ...
